Due to the high cost of fuel, most clients ask for our assistance in helping them to reduce their fuel costs through improving fuel efficiency. Whilst this is normally thought of as Miles Per Gallon (MPG), at Imise we look broader and deeper, because fuel efficiency should be considerd in more than this one way. Such as distance per drop (when it is applicable) and energy intensity, as identified by Professor Alan McKinnon.

An added advantage is that through helping you to improve your fleet and fuel efficiency you will also reduce your environmental impact. Reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) and carbon (C) can be a major issue when dealing with present and future customers.

We work with you to identify which interventions (a product or service that claims to improve efficiency) have the greatest probability of success and to calculate their financial implications, depending upon how you prefer to calculate the payback. With our operational background within the industry we understand the pressures and constraints that vehicle operators are under. As independent analysts we also manage trials on behalf of vehicle operators and intervention suppliers, both at the test track and within fleets, sometimes referred to as 'live testing'. When testing 'live' we use the unique Imise Fuel Saving Intervention Testing System (IFSITS), which is a system that employs proven engineering, scientific and statistical processes rather than just comparing simple averages or this years data with last years.
